Bret “Hit Man” Hart WWE Superstars Series #12
Bret “Hit Man” Hart WWE Superstars Series #12
In 1997, Bret "Hit Man" Hart was at the height of his wrestling career. A five-time WWE Champion, Hart's technical skill and storytelling made him one of the industry's top stars. The year marked a major turning point in his career with the rise of his controversial "anti-American" persona as part of the Hart Foundation faction, where he was a hero in Canada but a villain in the U.S.
This led to his famous rivalry with "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and culminated in the infamous "Montreal Screwjob" at Survivor Series 1997, where he controversially lost the WWE Championship to Shawn Michaels under disputed circumstances, marking the end of his WWE run before leaving for WCW.
