At AEW Fyter Fest 2019, “The American Nightmare” Cody Rhodes stood toe-to-toe for the first time with the hugely popular Darby Allin. The deck was stacked against Allin, with not only Cody being a veteran of the squared circle, he also had Brandi Rhodes at ringside to guide him. Allin though, had taken Rhodes out of his game, spooking him with a prepared body bag spray painted ‘Cody’. Going back and forth in a memorable battle, just as things were heating up, the bell went to signify the end of the 20-minute time limit so the match was ruled a draw. The fight would have to conclude another night but what was clear is that Allin wasn’t in AEW to make up the numbers, he was there to challenge the biggest and the best.

Darby Allin is one of the most exciting talents in the wrestling world today, turning heads wherever he goes.
