Making his NXT debut in December 2018, Dijakovic made an immediate impression. Standing 6 foot 7 inches tall and weighing in at nearly 300 pounds, superstars were not exactly queuing up to face him in the ring. After a dominant singles run, Dijakovic joined Team Ciampa at TakeOver: WarGames 2019 and helped defeat the Undisputed Era. Showcasing his unique mix of brute strength and incredible athleticism, Dijakovic then defeated Damian Priest to become the number one contender for the NXT North American Championship. Dijakovic went on to face Keith Lee at NXT Takeover: Portland in a battle of the behemoths with both men taking incredible risks to show who the most athletic big man in NXT really was. It wasn’t Dijakovic’s night but both men shook hands as a sign of respect. It wasn’t their last fight as they also fought for both the NXT Championship and NXT North American Championship later that summer.

Making waves and gaining a growing fanbase Dijakovic was a target for some of the biggest villains on the brand and was attacked by Karrion Kross during a backstage interview, with the two men going to war on an episode of NXT. One thing’s for sure Dominic Dijakovic is one of the biggest, meanest and most athletic men ever to step foot in an NXT ring.
