From Screen to Shelf: WWE Vehicles That Became Toys

Over the years, several memorable moments on WWE television have made the jump from the screen to toy shelves. These moments often involve vehicles used in dramatic entrances, backstage segments or destruction spots — and many of them later become fully produced toy playsets released by Mattel.

While they may look spontaneous on television, these segments are often coordinated far in advance as product placements, with toy development timelines requiring planning many months before the moment airs on WWE programming.

Braun Strowman’s Wrecked Car

One of the most memorable WWE vehicle moments came with Braun Strowman destroying a red car on television. This car was later recreated by Mattel as part of the Wrekkin playset, capturing the “wrecked” chaos from the segment. Interestingly, the tooling for this vehicle was later repurposed for The Rock, who was released with a blue car. While The Rock’s vehicle used the same design and details, he never actually wrecked his car on WWE programming, showing how Mattel sometimes adapts vehicles for collectors independently of TV moments.

This example highlights how WWE and Mattel sometimes plan toy vehicles well in advance, and how tooling can be reused to maximise production efficiency while still giving fans collectible versions of their favourite Superstars.

That destroyed vehicle later appeared as a Mattel toy vehicle, recreating the damaged look from the segment. Interestingly, the toy version actually reached retail before the televised moment aired, revealing how far in advance the product had already been manufactured and shipped.

It became one of the clearest examples of how WWE television and toy development timelines overlap.

The Slambulance

Another vehicle that made the jump from TV to toy shelves is the Slambulance. The concept originally appeared on WWE programming as a stylised ambulance used in storylines involving stretcher matches and chaotic backstage scenes.

Mattel later released the Slambulance vehicle playset, allowing fans to recreate those dramatic moments. Over time, the ambulance concept has reappeared in different forms on WWE television.

Eddie Guerrero’s Lucha Low Rider

One of the most iconic WWE vehicles ever associated with a Superstar belongs to Eddie Guerrero.

His Lucha Low Rider became synonymous with his entrance during the mid-2000s. Eddie would often drive the customised low rider to the ring as part of his “Lie, Cheat, and Steal” persona.

Mattel later recreated the vehicle as a toy low rider playset, allowing fans to replicate those entrances with action figures.

The low rider made a memorable modern return when Rey Mysterio used a similar vehicle during his WrestleMania entrance, paying tribute to Eddie Guerrero and the legacy of that iconic prop.

The Undertaker’s Motorbike – Wrekkin Slamcycle

Another iconic WWE vehicle turned toy was The Undertaker’s motorbike. Known for his dark, imposing entrance, The Undertaker occasionally arrived on a motorcycle during live events and special segments.

Mattel transformed this into the Wrekkin Slamcycle, a vehicle playset that allowed collectors to recreate The Undertaker’s dramatic entrance moments at home. Like other Wrekkin releases, the Slamcycle combined articulation, display features, and space for figures, giving fans a chance to recreate classic WWE scenes with one of the company’s most legendary characters.

The Slamcycle is a prime example of how Mattel takes memorably theatrical WWE moments and translates them into collectible, playable toys — bridging the gap between televised spectacle and physical display for fans.

Big E’s ATV Destruction

Another memorable WWE vehicle moment involved Big E’s ATV, which was destroyed on an episode of SmackDownby Sheamus and Ridge Holland during a chaotic backstage segment.

While the ATV itself has not yet received a dedicated Mattel playset, the incident highlights WWE’s continued use of vehicles as part of dramatic storytelling — often paving the way for future toy releases. It also shows how these segments combine on-screen action with planned merchandising opportunities, keeping fans and collectors engaged with both the televised moment and the prospect of a toyable version.

How WWE Plans Toy Moments

Vehicle releases like these highlight the close collaboration between WWE and Mattel. Because toy development, tooling and production take significant time, these moments are often planned long before fans see them on television.

This means a storyline segment involving a vehicle can sometimes serve a dual purpose:

  • Creating a memorable TV moment

  • Introducing a new toy playset to the market

Occasionally, as seen with the Braun Strowman car destruction segment, the toy can even reach stores before the segment airs, giving collectors a surprising preview of what is about to happen on WWE programming.

What Could Be Next?

With LA Knight recently appearing on Raw driving an updated red ambulance-style vehicle, it strongly suggests another vehicle playset release may already be in the pipeline.

Most recently, LA Knight drove an updated red ambulance-style vehicle on WWE Raw, which strongly resembles the next vehicle release planned for the Mattel lineup.

If history is any indication, WWE fans may soon see that moment translated into the next Mattel WWE vehicle toy, continuing the tradition of turning unforgettable TV scenes into collectible products.
