Shocking the world, Lynch announced that she was relinquishing the championship due to her real-life pregnancy. Tearfully requesting Asuka to come to the ring and to open the briefcase that she had won the night before, inside she found the Raw Women’s Championship. Unbeknownst to Asuka the previous night's Women's Money in the Bank ladder match was actually for the championship!

Feeling underestimated, Becky Lynch had an attitude change in the summer of 2018 and it quickly resulted in her shooting to the top of the WWE. “The Man” then decided to take her destiny into her own hands by winning the 2019 Royal Rumble Match to earn a World Championship opportunity at WrestleMania 35. Then, in the first women’s main event in WrestleMania history “The Man” defeated Ronda Rousey and Charlotte Flair to claim both Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships in a Winner Take All Match. Becky would go on to become the longest-reigning Raw Women's Champion in history and cement her place in the annals of WWE history.
